50-50 Bagan, Myanmar

$99.00

My son Michael and his wife were teaching in Myanmar when I was visiting them. Michael and I decided to fly up to Bagan to see this famous site of some 3,000 temples. In the morning we took a hot air balloon over the area and in the afternoon I made some drawings of the temples.

ZEN BRUSH WORKS
Fifty Sumi Ink brush works on watercolor paper mounted on 6 x 6 inch panels prepared with a gesso coating. The paintings are powerful expressions from my life and travels. They include dramatic landscape, architecture, seascapes, the human figure and other subjects.

This series was painted as part of the 50-50 2021 Exhibition at Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, CA.
